Prior to founding Suvonni, Darcy held senior marketing roles in both B2B and B2C companies, including Motorola, Cisco, NCSBN and the Bradford Group. Throughout her career, she has had the opportunity to work with top brands such as Verizon, Disney, ESPN, Sprint, Virgin, and Google as well as mid-size and startup businesses. Darcy received her undergraduate degree in Marketing and Business Administration from Michigan State University and an MBA in Strategic Marketing and Information Technology Management from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin.
Darcy is very active in the marketing community, holding several leadership positions, including her appointment as the 2014-15 President of the American Marketing Association, Chicago Chapter. As the Chief Executive Officer of the largest and oldest chapter of the AMA, Darcy oversaw a team of 21 Board Directors, over 150 volunteers and guided the direction of the organization that serves over 10,000 marketers across Chicago. Prior to assuming this role, Darcy played an active role on the Board, serving as Vice President of Branding & Communications where she led an initiative to rebrand the 75 year old organization. Darcy has also served as a Partner Director and Account Director for the Taproot Foundation. Darcy is passionate about giving back and paying it forward, and hence dedicates considerable time and effort in the community volunteering with non-profit organizations and other community initiatives.
